Fully restored, complete Jerry Goldsmith soundtrack from Steve Miner satanic horror film with Julian Sands, Lori Singer, Richard E. Grant gets world premiere release on CD! When Goldsmith first prepared his 1989 album for Intrada, he omitted numerous cues, dropped several electronic ideas and deleted sweetener tracks. Resulting original stereo mixes were all that existed for some 25 years. Now, at long last, newly located 2" masters allow restoration of the entire score with all electronics and sweeteners intact plus many previously unreleased cues! Warlock holds a very important place in the composer's repertoire: Coming literally at the end of the eighties, Goldsmith bids farewell to his legendary busy action vernacular while simultaneously looking forward to his streamlined nineties work. Meld of two styles is terrific! Lean main theme in minor key trades with aggressive action spotlighting propulsive low brass figures, swirling woodwinds, slicing strings. Epic highlights: lengthy final showdown ("Salt Water Attack") with dynamic action writing, heartfelt parting sequence ("The Salt Flats") with rich variant of main theme, moving chordal passages. Christopher Herrick makes no quasi-intellectual claims for this album: its intention is to entertain. And with twelve tracks of (largely) ridiculous organ fare, and the beast of an instrument that is the new Metzler organ of Poblet Monastery in Catalonia, the requisites quickly fall into place. If you like your organs meaty, but with a good sense of humour, this one is for you.

True as Steel is the third studio album by German heavy metal band Warlock, released in 1986. The EP Fight for Rock, which contained many songs from this album, was Warlock's first success outside of Europe, charting on the US Billboard Hot 100; the music video for the song "Fight for Rock" was aired on MTV's Headbangers Ball. New digipak edition includes 3 bonus tracks and is limited to numbered 2000 copies. Re-released on a golden disc.

Triumph and Agony is the fourth and final studio album by the German heavy metal band Warlock, released on 5 September 1987. The album was recorded in the US with producer Joey Balin and a different band line-up in comparison with the previous album True as Steel, which had made the name of Warlock known outside of Europe. Peter Szigeti and Frank Rittel were replaced in 1987 by the American musicians Tommy Bolan and Tommy Henriksen respectively. The album also features British drummer Cozy Powell on some tracks. New digipak edition includes 4 bonus tracks and is limited to numbered 2000 copies. Re-released on a golden disc.

Warlock - Hellbound (1985) [Re-Release 2011] Music

In early 1985, the band signed a contract with the major label Phonogram and recorded their second album Hellbound, produced by Henry Staroste and released in May 1985 on Vertigo Records in Europe. The band started to receive attention from the media and appeared in TV shows in the UK and Germany. Their first full European tour brought them to Camden Palace Theater in London, where the concert was filmed for Warlock's first video release Metal Racer. New digipak edition includes 2 bonus tracks and is limited to numbered 2000 copies. Re-released on a golden disc.
