However, none of his attempts have been very commercially successful, a sore point for the man many deem responsible for a large portion of the Genesis sound…

Allerson and Carstensen are a happily married, well-to-do Munich couple with a crippled daughter (Andrea Schober). Allerson tells his wife that he is going to Oslo for a weekend business trip; instead, he picks up his French mistress, Karina, and takes her to the castle the family uses as a vacation home. There he finds Carstensen with her lover. They decide that they are all adults and decide to go on with their respective weekends as planned. Son Lommel turns up, manipulating everyone, and Mira appears as a sadistic housekeeper with an androgynous son. Lommel gets them all to play a truth game, and violence results. Excellent Fassbinder film from the director's Douglas Sirk-influenced period.

The Braxton Brothers' debut album, Steppin' Out, tends to be a little bit too slick to actually qualify as improvisatory jazz, but the duo is a fine smooth jazz outift, working polished grooves that fuse light funk and soul with jazzy chords and pop melodies. The duo shows enough instrumental potential to suggest that they could craft a more adventurous album if they were willing to take the risk, but Steppin' Out is a pleasant listen in its own right.

Secrets (1976) is a Jazz-Funk fusion album by acclaimed keyboard player Herbie Hancock. Following up on his previous album Man-Child, the album again features Paul Jackson on bass, and reedist Bennie Maupin continued to provide most of the solos alongside Hancock. Man-Child had seen the addition of electric guitar to Hancock's sound, and Secrets saw the guitar's place in the arrangements rise to crucial importance throughout. The flamboyant rhythm guitar contributions of top Motown session musician Wah Wah Watson are a particularly notable feature of the album.
