Who Else

Who Else! is the seventh studio album by guitarist Jeff Beck, released on 16 March 1999 through Epic Records. The album reached No. 99 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and marks the end of a decade-long absence of original material from Beck since the release of Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop in 1989. Stylistically it showcases the first of his many forays into electronic and techno music, deviating notably from the straightforward instrumental rock and jazz fusion of previous albums.

After a hiatus of 6 years he finally releases his new studio-album “Who Else?”. Winner of two Norwegian Grammy Awards, Bjorn started the recording though as early as 2014, with the intention of releasing the album the same year. It started out like an acoustic record and it all was going according to plan. But during this time, he got asked to join the very popular Norwegian band Vamp who was going on tour, and Bjorn decided to put his solo album on hold and wait until Vamp had a break. That took a while.

It’s a record offering essential Modeselektor, a record formed by experience, self confidence and the usual madness. The German composer Johanna Senfter was born in Oppenheim on the Rhine in 1879. In 1895 she began to study composition (with Iwan Knorr), violin (Adolf Rebner), piano (Karl Friedberg) and organ (Heinrich Gelhaar) at the Hoch Conservatoire in Frankfurt on the Main. From 1908 to 1910 she was a pupil of Max Reger who had recognized her musical talent and encouraged her to undertake additional studies in his composition class at the Royal Conservatoire of Leipzig which she completed with distinction in 1909. In 1910 she received the Arthur Nikisch Prize for the best student composition of 1909.
