In the beginning disco was the sound of New York's underground clubs, and only those in the know understood what was happening. One of the key figures was Tom Moulton who virtually invented the extended disco mix. Detroit's Westbound Records saw that using Tom's skills could tailor their records to the dancefloor. Westbound Disco' pays homage to this era.

Apollo’s Fire has won critical acclaim and enjoyed Top 10 Billboard Classical chart success with their half-dozen releases on AVIE. Returning to their baroque roots, they offer a selection of works by Handel that showcase the Apollo’s Fire chorus. The centerpiece of the album is the grand Dixit Dominus, written during the composer’s early days in Rome. In a gesture to Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee year, Sorrell has chosen two works written for the monarch’s forbearers: the “Ode for the Birthday of Queen Anne” and “Zadok the Priest.” As a bonus, Sorrell includes “The Lord Shall Reign” from the epic Israel in Egypt.

This is an intoxicating brew that’s best taken in doses long and slow, with a steady infectious beat.

Few German rock acts can look back at as long and successful a career as Bonfire. Counting their predecessor – a group called Cacumen, which was also founded by Hans Ziller and featured more or less the same line-up – the band has been around since 1972, has operated under its current moniker since 1986 and released more than two dozen albums. During the most successful phase of their career, Bonfire counted – alongside the Scorpions and Accept – among Germany’s three internationally most acclaimed acts, celebrating major success all over Europe and worldwide. Bonfire’s trademarks are and have always been deeply melodic hard rock songs, driven by captivating guitars, grooving rhythms and haunting vocal melodies. All the features that came together so perfectly on their most popular releases Fireworks (1987), Point Blank (1989) and Branded (2011) are present on their current release Temple Of Lies. Thanks to their new vocalist Alexx Stahl, who joined the fold two years ago, and a first-rate line-up on all instruments, the band’s creativity explodes on Temple Of Lies and is bound to wow a younger generation of rock music fans, too.

Over 1.7 million albums sold worldwide, 2.6 million streams for the Top 10 predecessor "Knights Call" (2018). Now AXEL RUDI PELL releases his 18th (!) studio album in 31 years with "Sign Of The Times". But not the quantity but the quality is decisive. His consistency is increasingly appreciated in the worldwide Hard & Heavy community. Not always, but more and more often the term 'cult' is used when talking about AXEL RUDI PELL. He himself can't do much with the term, "but if you've been so successful for so long, then maybe you've earned it. This not only sounds down-to-earth, but is also meant to be. "When we played in Moscow last year, many fans called me a 'legend'. My answer was, "I'm just a guitarist." No more, but no less either. Because the 59-year-old knows what he can do and still surprises himself, as in the case of "Sign Of The Times". "I don't know what it is, but this time I finished composing a month ahead of schedule."
