Dr. Ebbett produced the two volume UK singles collection in 2005 and according to the announcement made at the time of its release: It features the A and B sides of every regular issue British 45 rpm record the Beatles releases during their time together. This set is sourced entirely from 7 inch vinyl records – some of them being the original first-issue Parlophone 45s, some from the vinyl boxed set released in the 1970s…

Inspired by The Looking Series collections on RPM of UK 60s Nuggets, we now look in the world mirror at New Zealand. The country furthest from the UK and in this context the country most like the UK. For the latest in the RPM /Frenzy Music collaborations, following sets from Larry’s Rebels , The Fourmyula , Ray Columbus, The Dave Miller Set , and the Girl Group Sound down-under on “Come and See Me”, we explore the mid 60’s club scene and the various classic singles tailored for that scene.

Woman of the World (The Best of 2007–2018) is a compilation album by Scottish singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald. The album was released on 23 November 2018 by Mercury Records. Macdonald announced a European tour in support of the album, which will take place between March and April 2019. The album includes all of her greatest hits including "Mr Rock & Roll" and "This Is the Life", plus a two new songs, "Woman of the World" and "Come Home", both songs are included on the film Patrick. Talking about the album Macdonald said, "I remember the week of the 30th July 2007 – I released my first ever album This Is The Life, and I wasn’t quite sure how I found myself in that position. My album was number 1 in countries I’d never even been to before and I was so busy that I did not have time to take it in at all. Fast forward to 2017 and I released my fourth album – it was crazy for me. 10 years later people were still interested. I just felt that after such an incredible journey it was time to look back and feel proud of everything that has happened. I hope you enjoy this collection of music."

The great bluesman B.B. King, who died in 2015, was one of the few artists whose every note was of interest. This 25-track CD of mostly previously unissued recordings are drawn from his sessions for Modern Records between 1954 and 1962. Be Careful Baby is a rare thing a B.B. King song that has never been released before in any version, while two tracks appeared on Ace's 2014 RPM compilation Speak Easy. The version of Catfish Blues is from a completely different session to the familiar issued version and from B.B.'s commentary appears to be the version he played on the road. There are many comments from B.B. and the band which provide an insight into the recording process and B.B.'s relaxed and informal manner in the studio. The CD ends with a previous unheard interview, recorded backstage at the Fillmore Ballroom in San Francisco with radio station KSAY at the 10/10 spot on your dial. All tracks are from the original master tapes.

Esoteric Recordings is pleased to announce the release of a 4 CD clamshell boxed set that gathers together all the recordings made for the classic “Potatoland” album by Spirit. The album was born in 1973 following the release of guitarist Randy California’s “Kaptain Kopter and the Fabulous Twirlybirds” album (made shortly after his departure from Spirit). To promote his solo album California assembled a band to tour featuring original Spirit drummer Ed Cassidy and bass guitarist Larry “Fuzzy” Knight. Initially playing concerts in the Los Angeles area, the trio recorded two live performances at the studios of KPFK-FM in September 1972. Soon after the trio reverted to the name Spirit to undertake live work in Europe. Following these concerts Randy California and Ed Cassidy began work on the album “The Adventures of Kapt. Kopter and Commander Cody in Potatoland”…
