Early next year, Repertoire Records will issue Live and Rare a new five-disc Yardbirds box set. The 4CD package includes 21 previously unreleased ‘off-air’ BBC recordings, live performances from across Europe and rare studio cuts.

This fantastic boxset collects almost all The Yardbirds output recorded when they were produced and managed by the legendary . The booklet is actually a whole book where Gomelsky, with the support of journalist , tells the detailed story of The Yardbirds early & middle years. Here we will find the albums and expanded with other live stuff from the same era, all their singles, EP tracks, alternate mixes, alternate versions and the outtakes from their aborted first album (curiously The Yardbirds never recorded a real studio album during the Gomelsky management). This set may be all that some Yardbirds fan would need along with the official albums , and the CD.
