Hailing from Connecticut, After The Fall have been around since the late 1980's, and their line-up consists of Mark Benson (vocals,guitars), Ken Archer (keyboards), Jeff Brewer (bass) and Rich Kornacki (drums,percussion). The Band plays in a modern progressive style that is predominantly art rock but combines elements of symphonic and neo with a tinge of prog metal, yet pays homage to the greats of the past. If you like long tracks with wonderful vocals and lyrics, tasty and muscular guitar work, lots of vintage keyboards, sinewy bass playing and complex, nimble drum work, After The Fall is definitely the band for you.

This box set contains everything released on Verve of the mini-festival of Charlie Haden's music recorded at a Montreal jazz festival in 1989. The music is uniformly excellent, and well-recorded. If you are a Charlie Haden fan, you'll enjoy it. Recording live of Charlie Haden's concerts at the 1989 Montreal International Jazz Festival. Each disc was initially published individually by Verve between 1994 and 2005.

This collection finds mr. Haden working in a trio partnered with two excellent musicians. Geri Allen is pianist known for working on the edge between mainstream and avant garde. Paul Motian has worked with great pianists, including a significant stint with Bill Evans.
