Yello by Yello is a compilation album from electronic duo Yello. It was released on 5 November 2010 via Polydor label. This remastered album contains 20 tracks plus a new version of the song Vicious Games. It also includes a DVD with 23 videos from 1980–2009. The CD has a production error. The song Lost Again (track 16) is missing, while the song Desire appears twice on the disc (tracks 16 and 20).

Essential is a fine 16-track compilation that features all of Yello's best-known Eurodance hits including, of course, their signature song, "Oh Yeah" as well as earlier material like "Bostich," "Pinball Cha Cha," "Tied Up" and "Vicious Games." Yello is a Swiss electronic duo band consisting of Dieter Meier and Boris Blank. The band is known for their 1985 single "Oh Yeah" which featured in the films Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Secret of My Success, American Pie Presents: The Book of Love, K-9, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, and as the theme song for the character Duffman on The Simpsons. Their 1988 single "The Race" peaked at number 7 on the UK Singles Chart, and was also featured in the film Nuns on the Run.

Ahead of the curve as ever, in 1972 The Residents turned their back on the mainstream music industry and established their own Ralph Records imprint, taking control of every aspect of the recording, design and manufacturing process of their records. Over the next decade, Ralph would release numerous seminal singles and albums by a diverse range of artists from both the US and Europe, capturing the zeitgeist perfectly in the era of punk and new wave, when the DIY aesthetic went overground.
