Soccer Mommy is the home-recorded solo project of singer/songwriter Sophie Allison. The Nashville native started uploading her introspective guitar pop songs to music-sharing site Bandcamp as a high-school student in the mid-2010s. Combining updated versions of some of the Bandcamp material and newer unreleased songs, Soccer Mommy's Collection arrived on Fat Possum in the summer of 2017 while the songwriter was enrolled at New York University. Produced and mixed by Allison, it was recorded by Jacob Corenflos and followed by touring in support of acts such as the Drums and Jay Som.

Many of these tracks are hard to find and should please the fan who doesn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars for the Bear Family boxes.
