English Evenings were a British new wave duo that released one album in 1985 entitled After Dark. Before English Evenings, Lee Walsh was a member of the band Sly Fox, whose name later changed to One Adult. After the band broke up and with its members going their separate ways, Walsh secured a record deal under the name of English Evenings, together with bandmate Graham Lee. They released only one album in 1985, on the UK independent label Safari Records.

Along with Max Roach, Kenny Clarke was one of the definitive drummers of jazz’s original bebop movement. By the time of the Bohemia After Dark sessions (in June 1955), Clarke was firmly established as a bandleader. He probably didn’t know it at the time, but he also made jazz history here, as Bohemia marks the recording debut of the soulful Adderley brothers – alto sax heavyweight Cannonball and ace cornetist/composer Nat. The brothers also contributed several tunes as well. This session is earnestly swinging bop with very good early career work from pianist Horace Silver and bassist Paul Chambers.

Riding high on the back-to-back Top Five, platinum hits Damn the Torpedoes and Hard Promises, Tom Petty quickly returned to the studio to record the Heartbreakers' fifth album, Long After Dark. Truth be told, there was about as long a gap between Dark and Promises as there was between Promises and Torpedoes, but there was a difference this time around – Petty & the Heartbreakers sounded tired…

After Dark is an album by Andy Gibb. It was his final studio album, and was released in 1980.
