Airplanes

Barking at Airplanes is the ninth studio album by American singer-songwriter Kim Carnes. It was released on May 5, 1985 by EMI America. The album spawned two Billboard Hot 100 hit singles; "Crazy in the Night (Barking at Airplanes)" (No. 15) and "Abadabadango" (No. 67). In 2001, the album was reissued by EMI-Capitol Special Markets with three bonus tracks; a cover of "Into the Lens" (retitled as "I Am a Camera") by Yes, "Forever" written by Steven Van Zandt, and a demo version of Carnes singing "Make No Mistake, He's Mine". Carnes became aware of this reissue during an interview with Nashville Scene in 2020, and said she never intended for them to be released.

Kim Carnes is an American singer-songwriter. Her voice has been described as "distinctively raspy" and "throaty", leading to comparisons to the voices of Rod Stewart and Bonnie Tyler. In 1993, Keith Tuber of Orange Coast magazine entitled Carnes The Queen of Rasp 'n' Roll in one of his articles. Barking at Airplanes is a studio album by Kim Carnes, released in 1985. Despite strong critical reviews, the album stopped short of the Top 50 on Billboard‍ '​s album chart and sold less than 200,000 copies. The album spawned two hit singles, "Crazy in the Night (Barking At Airplanes)" and "Abadabadango", which peaked at #15 and #67 on Billboard Magazine's Hot 100, respectively.
