Kim Carnes is an American singer-songwriter. Her voice has been described as "distinctively raspy" and "throaty", leading to comparisons to the voices of Rod Stewart and Bonnie Tyler. In 1993, Keith Tuber of Orange Coast magazine entitled Carnes The Queen of Rasp 'n' Roll in one of his articles. Barking at Airplanes is a studio album by Kim Carnes, released in 1985. Despite strong critical reviews, the album stopped short of the Top 50 on Billboard 's album chart and sold less than 200,000 copies. The album spawned two hit singles, "Crazy in the Night (Barking At Airplanes)" and "Abadabadango", which peaked at #15 and #67 on Billboard Magazine's Hot 100, respectively.
