Alba Ventura is heir to the great legacy of the Spanish Piano School represented by the tradition of the Marshall Academy, founded by Enrique Granados in 1901. This interpretive style, preserved by Granados ' disciple, Franziska Marshall, has been transmitted to Ventura by Carlota Garriga and Alicia De Larrocha. This pianism, completed with a Russian tradition training with teachers and mentors such as Dimitri Bashmagyrov, Vladimir Ashmagenazy and, especially, Irina Zaritsmagaya, endows Ventura with great solidity and artistic versatility.

“No soy tu hombre” podría ser una sátira, pero decidió ser un disco. También una obra teatral, personajes había de sobra, pero decidí enfocarlo en un pequeño diario para recalcarme que no solo soy lo que pienso sobre mí. Ni lo que otra persona piensa que soy. nadie, de hecho, es solo lo que piensa sobre sí mismo. Empiezo conformando “mi casa”, tenía que volver a hacerla mía y ordenarla. “A perdonarme por los hechos que nunca pasarán”, habla por sí misma, pero creo que lo pasaba peor por todo lo que quería que pasara y que de ninguna manera podría darse en ese momento.

Alba (2016)
Alba, 11 years old, passes her days in silence. She loves little animals. She has learned to cope with her mother's illness, helping her to use the bathroom. Alba plays silently so that her mother can rest during the day. One night Alba's mother gets worse, and has to be taken to the hospital. With no one else to take care of her, Alba is sent to live with her father, who she hasn't seen since she was three years old. Living with her father is almost unbearable. Embarrassment, her first kiss, visits to mother in the hospital, Edgar's tender efforts to get close to her, and bullying at school; these are some of the experiences that pave Alba's journey to puberty and to self-acceptance.
