Souvenirs d'un autre monde (Memories of Another World) is the first full-length album by Alcest, released in August 2007. The album differs greatly from Alcest's earlier work, as its sound is similar to post-rock and shoegaze with very little black metal incorporated at all. Audrey Sylvain of Amesoeurs, another band featuring Neige, provides guest vocals on "Sur l'autre rive je t'attendrai." All other vocals and music were written and recorded entirely by Neige.

For principal songwriter and frontman Neige, ALCEST has always been a gateway to the otherworldly, a means of exploring his spirituality. An elemental two-piece, completed by long-serving drummer and creative confidante Winterhalter, their forthcoming sixth album »Spiritual Instinct« finds Neige at his most personal. “This time I had something urgent to put on the table,” he explains. “It is a very cathartic record - something needed to get out of me. It’s darker than usual, and heavier.” Written in bursts both during and after a prolonged period of touring in support of 2016’s hugely successful »Kodama«, the sense of urgency Neige speaks of manifests in a record full of spontaneity, of immediate impact – be that in the breath-taking pace of 'Les Jardin De Minuit'’s tempo changes, or 'Sapphire'’s sun-kissed harmonies over an impermeable back beat, one thing »Spiritual Instinct« has is riffs, an acknowledgement and celebration of the black metal foundations that anchor their uplifting post-metal.

This musical release form the metal band Empyrium captures a live performance by the group, recorded in Leipzig on November 6, 2011. Songs featured in the concert include "The Days Before the Fall," "Where AT Night the Wood Grouse Plays," and more.

For two decades, MONO have defined and refined a kind of orchestral rock that is as emotional as it is experimental. Their 10 studio albums over those 20 years have established MONO as what Pitchfork described as “one of the most distinctive bands of the 21st Century.” Meanwhile, their live concerts are typically more subdued in instrumentation – and more supercharged in volume and voltage. Rarely is there the opportunity to combine those two experiences.
