Mit der Reihe „Classical 90s Dance“ brachte Alex Christensen dann gar Klassik und Dance Music zusammen. Wie gut das funktionierte, bewiesen nicht zuletzt 300.000 verkaufte Alben dieser Reihe. Auf seinem neuen Album „Classical 80s Dance“ zollt Christensen nun mit namhaften Gästen jenem musikalischen Jahrzehnt Tribut, das die 90s erst möglich gemacht hat. Alex Christensen meint dazu: „Der Übergang zwischen der Freiheitsbewegung in den 80er-Jahren und unserer Techno-Bewegung in den 90s war fließend. Wir trieben die 80s auf die Spitze, denn bei uns war alles erlaubt: Love, Peace, Happiness.“ Sein neues Album feiere deshalb „die Songs mit denen ich aufwuchs, während ich die Musik des Folgejahrzehnts aktiv mitgestalteten konnte.“

German drummer and composer Mareike Wiening releases her debut album featuring her original compositions performed by an outstanding quintet of New York improvisers. Metropolis Paradise is dedicated to Wiening’s six year residence in the Big Apple.
