Millions of people have seen UFOs and many even recall personal encounters with strange entities.

Stranded on a distant planet, a team must fight aliens and activate a machine meant to restore Earth to a time before its downfall.

The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Almost eleven years after the futile and disastrous expedition on the distant moon LV-223, the deep-space colonisation vessel Covenant equipped with more than 2,000 colonists in cryogenic hibernation, sets a course for the remote planet Origae-6 with the intention to build a new world. Instead, a rogue transmission will entice the crew to a nearby habitable small planet which resembles a lot like the Earth, nevertheless, sooner or later, the unsuspecting members of the Covenant will have to cope with invincible and unconquerable biological foes beyond human comprehension. Ultimately, what was intended as an exploratory and peaceful mission, under those circumstances, it will soon turn into a desperate rescue operation deep into the cold infinite space.

Alien Covenant, diretto da Ridley Scott, è il secondo episodio della trilogia prequel iniziata con Prometheus, dedicata al celebre franchise sci-fi nato nel 1979. Ambientato dieci anni dopo gli eventi narrati in Prometheus, il film racconta della missione di colonizzazione su larga scala del pianeta Origae-6, sul fianco estremo della galassia, da parte dell'astronave Covenant con a bordo 2000 persone addormentate artificialmente e sulle quali veglia l'androide Walter (Michael Fassbender).

I membri dell'equipaggio della navicella spaziale Covenant, incaricati di colonizzare un pianeta lontano, pensano di arrivare in un paradiso. A destinazione, scopriranno di essere di fronte a un mondo oscuro e pericoloso il cui solo abitante è David, un androide sopravvissuto alla spedizione Prometheus.

It's the end of yet another night at Hastings Supermarket, an idyllic family grocery store in Buck Lake, Arizona. But the normal monotony of rounding up shopping carts and settling out the cash drawers is broken at 11:07pm, just before closing when a group of masked and armed-to-the-teeth militants invades the store, immediately killing several of the employees and shoppers and holding the rest hostage. Though the hostage-takers at first appear to be robbers or terrorists, they reveal themselves to be a cadre of rogue scientists that has discovered and tracked an alien infestation to THIS STORE on THIS NIGHT, and they are determined to find out which of the survivors are extraterrestrials and end the invasion at any cost.

An aggressive race of aliens took over Planet Earth and humanity's at its end, living in giant bunkers below ground. Young Military rookie S.U.M.1 (Iwan Rheon) is sent to the surface to save a group of unprotected survivors.

After her last encounter, Ellen Ripley crash-lands on Fiorina 161, a maximum security prison. When a series of strange and deadly events occur shortly after her arrival, Ripley realizes that she brought along an unwelcome visitor.

It's not just our sun that is circled by planets. In recent years, astronomers have found over 4,000 planets circling stars other than our own. The Sky at Night team investigates what we know about these alien worlds and looks at how we have managed to detect them. Professor Chris Lintott visits the UK Astronomy Technology Centre in Edinburgh to see a cutting-edge camera designed to take pictures of exoplanets. And Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock talks to experts about the continuing hunt for alien worlds and, even, alien moons. Meanwhile, Pete Lawrence sticks to hunting for planets in our own backyard, looking for Neptune and explaining what is meant when a planet is said to be in opposition.
