The swagger that distinguished the original lineup of The Allman Brothers Band is on full display here in "Don't Keep Me Wondering," but a comparable confidence permeates this entire performance captured roughly two months before the untimely death of founding member guitarist Duane Allman. Recorded August 26th 1971 at New York's A&R Studios (and broadcast live on WPLJ-FM radio), the sextet is clearly sensing the realization their hard work was beginning to come to fruition with the burgeoning success of At Fillmore East (Atlantic, 1971) released the previous month.

The Allman Brothers’ second album, "Idlewild South" has been remastered from its original tapes. This mixture of chunky grooves and sophisticated textures showcases both Gregg Allman’s and Dickey Betts’ skills as songwriters. This classic album includes the hit “Midnight Rider”. The Deluxe edition adds 12 tracks not included on the original release. Bonus tracks are a combination of live tracks, studio cuts and outtakes.

Eat a Peach is a 1972 double album by American rock band the Allman Brothers Band, containing a mix of live and studio recordings. Following their artistic and commercial breakthrough with the July 1971 release of the live album At Fillmore East, the Allman Brothers Band got to work on their third studio album. Drug use among the band became an increasing problem, and at least one member underwent rehab for heroin addiction. On October 29, 1971, lead and slide guitarist Duane Allman, group leader and founder, was killed in a motorcycle accident in the band's adopted hometown of Macon, Georgia, making it the final album to feature him. Produced by Tom Dowd, the album was released on February 12, 1972, in the United States by Capricorn Records. It was the band's fourth album since their debut The Allman Brothers Band in 1969; released as a double album, it constitutes both their third studio album and second live album.

The Allman Brother Band's breakthrough 1971 album at Fillmore East expanded to collector's box set The 1971 Fillmore East Recordings. Universal Music Enterprises and Mercury Records release The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Band's historic 1971 performances at Bill Graham's iconic New York City venue. The recordings feature all four performances from the legendary weekend of March 12-13, which yielded at Fillmore East, as well as the Allmans' headlining set from the Fillmore East's closing weekend June 27,1971.
