Blue Room is an album that comes very close to home for Ana. When she was growing up, her family’s apartment in Belgrade was unlike other Serbian homes. It was within that 11th floor flat that an enclave called “the blue room” was the place where blues and rock albums were played and discussed, and music was pursued. It was where a father inspired his daughter to take up the guitar and to unlock the blues feeling within her. “I wanted to record the songs that we used to play together while I was still living at home,” Ana says about the many deep blues cuts on the album. While her father had never pursued a career in music, Ana has since become an international touring sensation. Popovic, widely recognized as a brilliant guitarist…
After 26 years, 11 albums and an unimaginable number of blistering shows, the Juke Joints, masters of rock rollin' blues, have succeeded in stretching their limits with undoubtedly their best and most diverse album so far. A highly diverse album it has become indeed, which is to be released worldwide and which should win The Juke Joints global recognition as one of the most energetic rock rollin' blues bands around. Special Guests: Eddy 'The Chief' Clearwater, Ronnie Baker Brooks & Ana Popovic.
Voodoo Nation is the fourth album from California's Supersonic Blues Machine and the second with British vocalist/guitarist Kris Barras. Gorgeously produced by bassist Fabrizio Grossi, it balances gritty, even incendiary playing with polished behind-the-boards technique. Like its predecessors, the 12-song set features SBM's now trademark bumper crop of guest spots from top-shelf guitar slingers, including Sonny Landreth, Charlie Starr (Blackberry Smoke), Eric Gales, Joe Louis Walker, Ana Popovic, Kirk Fletcher, King Solomon Hicks, and Josh Smith. SBM deliver the first three tracks and the title number on their own. It's an opportunity to assess their studio sound with Barras, who joined just before 2019's Road Chronicles: Live!

After a couple of albums with his band Honeytribe, guitarist and songwriter Devon Allman scored with the Royal Southern Brotherhood. A blues-rock supergroup comprised of Allman and guitarist Mike Zito, drummer Yonrico Scott, and bassist Charlie Wooton from Zydefunk, the band's lone album hit the Top Ten on Billboard's blues chart. But Allman has proven himself restless from the start, and Turquoise is the latest chapter in his musical evolution. For those who've heard his past recordings as exercises in jam band expression, this set will come as a surprise. Produced by Jim Gaines (the Radiators, Huey Lewis, Santana, Ana Popovic, etc.), the album is a deeper, richer, collection of tunes that focuses on the Allman the singer and songwriter rather than the guitarist.
