Altın Gün return with a masterful album that widens their critically acclaimed exploration of Anatolian rock and Turkish psychedelic stylings to include dreamy 80’s synth-pop and dancefloor excursions. Since 2013, Danish quartet Kalaha’s multi-award-winning sound has been characterised by a melting pot of worldwide musical cultures including Brazilian Samba, Anatolian rock, African highlife, desert blues and contemporary western electronic music, resulting in acclaim from critics and vinyl connoisseurs alike. Their sixth album ‘Nordhavn’ is set to release on January 26th on April Records. The record follows on from their 2022 release ‘Tutku’, a collaboration with the Aarhus Jazz Orchestra and vocalist Hilal Kaya celebrating the sound of Turkish music in the 70’s. The band’s new album marks a conscious return to their early sound of an instrumental quartet.

Their second CD "Hurel Arsivi", 1976, is their most important work (selections from singles) of the group, amazing rhytms, incredible guitar playing, some psych sounds and vocals. A masterpiece of Turkish ethno-psychedelic delight, recorded between 1970 and 1975 by the three very talented Hur El brothers; has the heavy hashish sound fuzz guitar, empassioned vocals and Eastern percussion that makes Turkish psych so savoury to the rest of the world; very possibly as good as anything recorded by countryman Erkin Koray.
