The Keyboard sonata in G Major HobXVl:8 is one of Haydn's most famous works for keyboard music. lt was written around 1766 and is characterized by its freshness and lightness, typical of the keyboard music of the time. The work consists of tour movements: an allegro, a minuet, an andante, and a final allegro. The first movement, in an allegro tempo, opens with a lively and playful theme which alternates with a series of more delicate and suspended episodes. The second movement, in minuet time, is characterized by a sweet and cantabile melody that winds its way over a soft and delicate harmonic accompaniment. The third movement is a very singable and short andante that leads to a brilliant and amusing fourth and final movement: the latter has very interesting hints, which characterize Haydn's style and his era; lor example, the use of triplets and grace notes.

The instrumental, multimedia Montreal group Godspeed You! Black Emperor creates extended, repetition-oriented chamber rock. The minimal and patient builds-to-crescendo of the group's compositions results in a meditative and hypnotic listen that becomes almost narrative when combined with found-sound splices and the films of their visual collaborators. Nebel lang is the latest moniker for a traveling artist, originally from San Rafael, Argentina who is currently based in Kiel, Germany. Previous releases include ‘Chapters’ on Fluid Audio as well as ‘00000’ and ‘motionless for a’ on Minui. That’s not to mention some self-released digital editions via his own Bandcamp page. The name Nebel lang combines the German words for fog and lifelong, to be taken metaphorically as ‘lifelong uncertainty’.

Shawn Phillips is my guru, a spiritual guide if you will. After listening to this album I am always infused with energy and good will and feel I have the strength to carry on no matter what is pulling me down in life. Shawn is my candidate for the most overlooked / underrated musician of our time, he’s an extremely fine musician and vocalist with an incredible vocal range that will blow your mind.

Over the years Mr. Phillips has worked with Peter Robinson quite a bit, you might know him from Quatermass (the band). Peter Robinson shines quite a bit on Rumplestiltskin's Resolve, another Quatermass alum (John Gustafson on bass) shows up on the “Spiteful” track.

"That'll Flat… Git It!" is one of the best compilations of the 1950's rockabilly. Each volume contains nearly 30 songs, mostly rockabilly classics and unknown great artists. In spite the tracks were remastered, you can hear some noise, especially in the end of the tracks. This is because many songs were taken from original vinyl singles.
