Songs by Warlock & Howe - Anna Harvey / Mark Austin - This delightful recital of English songs brings together one of the form's most distinctive and prolific composers, Peter Warlock, with a composer born in 1951 who continues very much in the tradition of the older composer - Frederick Howe, whose selection of his own folksong arrangements dovetail neatly this aspect of Warlock's output. Howe's songs are receiving their world-premiere recordings. Magpie by Warlock is also a world-premiere recording using the original text.

It has taken 20 years for Mick Harvey to resume his project of translating Serge Gainsbourg's songs into English and June 2016 sees the long awaited continuation of the series, Volume 3 - 'Delirium Tremens'. The intervening years have, of course, been full of activity and dozens of releases including 4 solo albums and several albums as a member of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and in collaboration with PJ Harvey.

In 1994, arranger, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey issued "Intoxicated Men", his initial tribute to the music of Serge Gainsbourg. He was the first to render authoritative musical translations of the songwriter's notoriously difficult, pun-laden, alliterative lyrics in rhyming English. Harvey followed it three years later with Pink Elephants. The next year, Harvey and musical partner J.P. Shilo dug deeper into Gainsbourg's catalog for the typically excellent Delirium Tremens. Intoxicated Women marks his final volume of Gainsbourg tunes.

In his 50s, Wilson learned that the parents who raised him were not his birth parents; that, in fact, he was adopted and that his biological mother and father were Mohawk from the Kahnawake reserve, just outside of Montreal. Grappling with this newfound sense of himself plunged Wilson into a quest for his heritage and his truth.
