Sarah Neufeld is a violinist and composer based in Montréal, Canada. Best known as a member of Arcade Fire, she is also a founding member of the acclaimed contemporary instrumental ensemble Bell Orchestre, and most recently as half of an exciting new duo with renowned saxophonist Colin Stetson. Neufeld counts Bela Bartok, Steve Reich, Iva Bittova and Arthur Russell among the formative influences for her solo work, in tandem with an ear for the textures and sensibilities of contemporary electro-acoustic, avant-folk and indie rock music. In 2013 Sarah Neufeld released her debut album 'Hero Brother' on Montreal's Constellation Records (home of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Colin Stetson), which was produced by Nils Frahm. 'The Ridge', Neufeld's second solo album, features performances and production from the likes of Colin Stetson, Tim Hecker and Arcade Fire's Jeremy Gara on drums and synth.

Colin Stetson is an American saxophonist and multireedist who has collaborated with an number of influential indie rock acts such as Arcade Fire, Bon Iver and Bell Orchestre. This new release 'SORROW', led by Stetson, is a reimagining of Henryk Górecki's most famous piece, performed by a 12-piece band including Arcade Fire's Sarah Neufeld, Saltland's Rebecca Foon, Greg Fox of Liturgy, Megan Stetson and more and recorded in 2015 in Brooklyn, New York. "We all have those moments when we experience a piece of music that transforms us, and this was one of those moments for me," says Stetson. "Over the years, I went on to listen to this record countless times, always determined to absorb every instance of it, to know it throughout and fully. And this dedication to a thorough knowledge of the piece eventually gave way to a need to perform it."

The Transmission Trio is comprised of Colin Stetson (saxes, clarinets), Andrew Kitchen (drums), and Eric Perney (upright bass). Stetson recently performed on the David Letterman Show with Tom Waits, and both Stetson and Perney can be heard on Waits' 2002 releases Alice and Blood Money. Colin Stetson has also recorded on several of Recloose's albums, including the very well received 2002 release, Cardiology. The two were joined live this past November for performances in Japan.Now the Transmission Trio is releasing it's first full length album entitled Tiny Beast.
