Digitally remastered and expanded two disc (CD + NTSC/Region 0 DVD) edition of this 1980 album from the Swedish Pop icons. Super Trouper was the UK's biggest selling album of 1980 and a worldwide blockbuster. The album reflected a change in style, returning them to the Pop/Rock sound typical of their earlier albums. This Deluxe Edition features the digitally remastered version of the original album plus bonus tracks. The DVD contains a number of television performances of tracks from the Super Trouper album, none of which have been released on DVD before plus the vintage documentary Words And Music.

You probably already know whether or not you're going to like this album, but for those who haven't yet encountered the phenomenon called Sarah Brightman, a stab at objective description may be in order. The genre is British crossover classical, with a mixture of contemporary pop-style tunes and more traditional numbers, in this case Christmas carols…

Mike Oldfield’s sixth album was a beautiful blend of instrumentals and songs that showed how he was able to adapt to the shifting musical mores of the new decade. Released in October 1980, it features two of his most loved instrumentals, QE2 and Taurus I, as well as cover versions of Wonderful Land by the Shadows and, surprisingly perhaps for the time, Arrival by Abba.
