KING OF ASGARD took form in 2008 by founder Karl Beckman. Teaming up with long time fellow worker, Karsten Larsson, once together in the well known viking horde Mithotyn. Now re-entering their roots, the foundation of King of Asgard was a fact. Both musically as well as in the Norse heritage used as lyrical approach.This is the band's upcoming second full length album. It's going to be released on July 31st through Metal Blade Records.

The band was founded 1999. It was in the beginning a very raw high speed Black Metal Band with fucking many line-up problems. Brought out the self financed debut album "Wotanic Battle" in 2003. Nowadays the band consists of 3 members, and changed their style to Viking Metal and recorded their second album "Rückkehr Nach Asgard" in Autumn 2009. Now they try to complete their live line-up to start the Viking Assault!

Fi'mbulvintr is the full-length debut from the Swedish Viking metal band King Of Asgard. Even though its a new group, members of the trio have been around for a while and were previously in bands including Mithotyn, Thy Primordial, Retaliation and Falconer.
