Avionics Navigation System

This two volume book set explores how sensors and computer vision technologies are used for the navigation, control, stability, reliability, guidance, fault detection, self-maintenance, strategic re-planning and reconfiguration of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

This book provides a comprehensive overview of aeronautics. It discusses both small and large aircraft and their control strategies, path planning, formation, guidance, and navigation. It also examines applications of drones and other modern aircraft for inspection, exploration, and optimal pathfinding in uncharted territory.

The book collects selected papers presented at the 7th International Conference on Aerospace System Science and Engineering (ICASSE 2023), organized by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China on July 6–7, 2023. It provides a forum for experts in aeronautics and astronautics to share new ideas and findings. ICASSE conference has been organized annually since 2017 and host in Shanghai, Moscow, and Toronto in turn, where the three regional editors of journal Aerospace Systems are located.
