American Traitor: The Trial of Axis Sally is a 2021 drama film directed by Michael Polish, from a screenplay by Vance Owen and Darryl Hicks, based upon the book Axis Sally Confidential, by William E. Owen. It is based on the life of Mildred Gillars, an American singer and actor who during World War II broadcast Nazi propaganda to US troops and their families back home. The film stars Al Pacino, Meadow Williams, Swen Temmel, Thomas Kretschmann and Mitch Pileggi.It was released on May 28, 2021, by Vertical Entertainment and Redbox Entertainment.Kubilay Uner makes adventurous, eclectic, colorful music for media ranging from film and television to concerts and records.He blends acoustic, synthetic and found sounds, builds his own instruments, bends tempos, layers noise, mixes metaphors, and is generally convinced that good music only happens when you mix things up.

Axis is as eclectic an album as you'll find from the early 70s. In some ways, it mirrors Aphrodite's Child's classic "666" album, with its mix of song oriented pop psych and long complex instrumental journeys. Axis begins as a straight up hard rock album and moves over to Canterbury jazz rock and then onto free jazz. The keyboards on Axis are splendid featuring anything from fuzz overloaded organ to jazzy electric piano to layers upon layers of mellotron. The album features two bona fide monster tracks: "Materializing the Unlimited" and "The Planet Vavoura".
