Chris Parker agrees to babysit after her "dread" date stands her up. Expecting a dull evening, Chris settles down with three kids for a night of TV… and boredom. But when her frantic friend Brenda calls and pleads to be rescued from the bus station in downtown Chicago, the evening soon explodes into an endless whirl of hair-raising adventures! Babysitter and kids leave their safe suburban surroundings and head for the heart of the big city, never imagining how terrifyingly funny their expedition will become!

Faute de baby-sitter pour le week-end, Marc Schaudel confie son fils Rémy à Franck, son employé, « un type sérieux » selon lui. Sauf que Franck a 30 ans ce soir et que Rémy est un sale gosse capricieux. Au petit matin, Marc et sa femme Claire sont réveillés par un appel de la police. Rémy et Franck ont disparu ! Au milieu de leur maison saccagée, la police a retrouvé une caméra. Marc et Claire découvrent hallucinés les images tournées pendant la soirée…

Franck (Philippe Lacheau) fühlt sich noch nicht ganz angekommen im Leben, er hat zwar einen Job am Empfang eines Verlages, aber eigentlich will er seine Brötchen als Comic-Zeichner verdienen. Eine Frau fehlt auch noch an seiner Seite. Alles in allem könnte es also besser laufen - und das will das Geburtstagskind nun auch endlich selbst in die Hand nehmen: So fasst der gerade 30 Jahre alt Gewordene seinen Mut zusammen und will seinem Chef Marc Schaudel (Gérard Jugnot) seine Zeichnungen präsentieren, doch der hat für solche Dinge gerade gar keine Zeit, hat doch der Babysitter für seinen Sohn Remy (Enzo Tomasini) abgesagt.

Looking for a baby-sitter for the night, Marc Schaudel entrusts his son Remy to the care of his employee Franck, a straight man. But the thing that Marc doesn't know, is that Franck is getting 30 years old this weekend and that his son Remy is a very capricious child. The next day, Marc and his wife Claire are awakened by a call from the police. Remy and Franck are missing, and the house is totally devastated. The police finds a camera in the leftovers. Marc, Claire and the police start watching the video that has been recorded the day before during the night and find out what happened to Franck and Remy.
