More than 10,000 people attended this unique event that marked the end of the "15" tour, with which the artist celebrated his fifteen-year career and for which he was nominated for the Latin Grammys. A Young Symphony Orchestra of more than 70 musicians accompanied Ara on stage to bring classical music to all audiences. In the repertoire the audience finds Bach, Pagagnini or Vivaldi but can also enjoy versions of Radiohead, Paco de Lucía, or traditional songs from all over the world in a symphonic version.

First released in March 1977, the album introduced a new band line-up of GARY BROOKER (vocals, piano), B.J. WILSON (drums), CHRIS COPPING (bass), MICK GRABHAM (guitar) and PETE SOLLEY (organ, synthesiser) and was recorded in Miami with producers Ron and Howie Albert.

Since Walter Davis, Jr. had relatively few opportunities to lead recording dates of his own, one would hope that conditions would be ideal for the occasional recording session. Sadly, he's stuck with a badly out of tune instrument on this occasion, making it almost excruciating to listen to his performance of his best-known work, the normally exciting hard bop vehicle "Scorpio Rising." Davis utilizes several different rhythm sections, including the likes of Buster Williams, Art Blakey, and Tony Williams.
