It's about time. For a work as historically important as Pink Floyd's Live at Pompeii (as it was called when originally released in 1972), it is remarkable that it's taken more than 50 years for this music to get a standalone release.

Bomb! Box set on Nonesuch with 27 discs (26 CDs + 1 DVD) in wallets, plus two booklets (132 + 120 pages). Nonesuch Records releases Steve Reich Collected Works, a twenty-seven-disc box set featuring music recorded during composer Steve Reich's forty years on the label, on March 14, 2025, available to pre-order here. The collection represents six decades of Reich’s compositions, ranging from It’s Gonna Rain (1965) to first recordings of his two latest works: Jacob’s Ladder (2023) and Traveler’s Prayer (2020). Two extensive booklets contain new essays by longtime Nonesuch President Robert Hurwitz, conductor Michael Tilson Thomas, Steve Reich and Musicians percussionist Russell Hartenberger, producer Judith Sherman, and composer Nico Muhly, as well as a comprehensive listener’s guide by pianist and composer Timo Andres.

The only live record from the Mark II line-up of Deep Purple was a surprise hit, and a source of controversy after its 1972 release. The three concerts that the band recorded in Osaka and Tokyo in August 1972 were first released in full in a 2014 box set with remixes by Kevin Shirley and Martin Pullan.

Metallica is continuing to release remasters of their catalog, with the latest being the 5x-platinum Load, available everywhere on June 13th. Produced by Bob Rock, Load is the follow-up to Metallica, the best-selling album of the Soundscan era. Load contains fan favorites including “Until It Sleeps,” “Hero of the Day,” “King Nothing,” and, for the first time ever, the original extended version of “The Outlaw Torn,” which was originally edited due to manufacturing limits.

This is pop art as art/pop and an exploration of the blank canvas of pop culture and how far that canvas can be stretched, going from three minute constructs to ambient washes. The 7” single was always the ultimate artefact and statement, with the A side being the band momentarily paused in time and distilled and freeze-framed into the forever with less than three minutes of electric sound.

Six live shows across 8 CDs, ACCESS ALL AREAS: LIVE captures the raw excitement of Whitesnake in full flight, live on stage.
