Un projet d’une toute nouvelle envergure, co-réalisé par la vocaliste Mélanie Dahan et cinq pianistes parmi les plus accomplis de la scène jazz actuelle française: Baptiste Trotignon, Thomas Enhco, Pierre de Bethmann, Manuel Rocheman, Franck Amsallem. Des collaborations choisies avec un goût et un soin très surs. Le concept ? Chaque pianiste met à l’honneur le songbook américain en proposant sur 2 morceaux des relectures inédites et novatrices. Une occasion pour la chanteuse d’explorer et de confronter leurs esthétiques, personnalités et énergies variées. Un projet résolument moderne et inventif, qui puise dans les tendances les plus fraîches des scènes jazz contemporaines, la couleur générale de l’album. Les innovations sont présentes à la fois dans l’actualité du son, le traitement harmonique des thèmes ainsi que dans l'écriture soucieuse d'audaces rythmiques où les arrangements font la part belle à la voix comme instrument à part entière.

Above the album worked the Sony Classical 'Silence: Musique calme et apaisante', and his release took place on 2020. The album has got 52 songs with a total duration of more than an hour. A compilation is a compilation of original music.

In this humanistic ode to nature, French cellist Christian-Pierre La Marca presents a packed programme on the theme of saving the planet. He has invited a host of artists from all over the international music scene to add their voices to that of his own eloquent instrument, in a unique and unprecedented project of solidarity.

Having recorded the 'great' French quartets of Debussy and Ravel (ALPHA295), the Van Kuijk Quartet now takes another path and explores treasures by Faure, Debussy, Satie, Ravel and Poulenc that were originally composed for piano or voice. The mark of the string quartet is secretly apparent in this programme, which includes Debussy's Petite Suite pour piano a quatre mains, Ravel's famous Pavane pour une infante defunte and well-known songs by Poulenc, Faure and Satie in transcriptions made especially for this recording by Emmanuel Francois, the Quartet's violist, and by Jean-Christophe Masson and Gildas Guillon. The Quartet also asked the jazz pianist and composer Baptiste Trotignon to create a work that would freely resonate alongside the styles of the composers whose works had been transcribed. An entire universe has now been re-created without any nostalgia or pastiche behind the first names of these composers, Ces Messieurs. The Van Kuijks have woven their instruments in and around these miniatures and here unfold a programme that is all lightness and delight.

The trumpet at the movies *Move *– the name of this album – is also the title of a concerto written by Baptiste Trotignon and here receiving its recording premiere; the work pays tribute to major composers of film music, whose iconic scores form the backdrop in this “audiofilm” starring the trumpet of Romain Leleu.
