The Marquise de Sévigné (1625 96) was a 17th-century blogger, writing letters to family and friends about life at the court of Louis XIV, and in particular performances of Lully during his lifetime, letters that were copied and widely circulated in manuscript. Our quartet of musicians has gathered together a selection of contemporary music, instrumental trio arrangements of popular songs and Lullian airs as well as duo and solo music such as she might have heard or had performed in her Parisian salon. These works – and many others like them – survive mainly in manuscript, though most are available in facsimile or online.

The second album from the Electronic Rock duo from Saratoga Springs, New York. Formed in 2007, Phantogram is Josh Carter (vocals, guitars) and Sarah Barthel (vocals, keyboards). The band name was partially inspired by an optical illusion called a phantogram, in which two-dimensional images appear to be three-dimensional. They described their sound as "street beat, psych pop". According to Josh, their music has "lots of rhythms, swirling guitars, spacey keyboards, echoes and airy vocals".

"Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz" is the fifth studio album by American singer Miley Cyrus. Opting for an album relying less on computerized elements than her previous release, "Banger", Cyrus began planning the project in 2013 before "Bangerz" was released. Work continued into 2014 and 2015, when she befriended and began collaborating with the Flaming Lips. In addition to the psychedelic rock band, Cyrus worked with producers Mike Will Made It and Oren Yoel. The album features guest vocals by Big Sean, Sarah Barthel of Phantogram and Ariel Pink.
