Battles in the North is the third studio album by Norwegian black metal band Immortal. It was released on May 15, 1995 through Osmose Productions. It picks up where its predecessor, Pure Holocaust, left off, featuring extreme tempos, lo-fi production, and lyrics about coldness or wintery landscapes. This is the first album where the concept of Blashyrkh becomes a central focus. The last album to feature Abbath on drums.
Four years since releasing La Di Da Di, Battles are back in action, now operating as a duo. Multi-instrumentalist Ian Williams and drummer John Stanier have announced that their next record is called Juice B Crypts and will be out October 18 on Warp.
The new album of international epic folk viking metal project FOLKODIA has released. 10 musicians from 9 countries (Greece, Monaco, Lithuania, USA, Germany, Switzerland, Russia , Italy, Argentina) have take part in it. they are the members of such bands as Folkearth, Sunuthar, Black Knight Symphonia, Dol Amroth and some other projects.
