Achim Reichel (born on January 28, 1944) is a musician, producer and songwriter from Hamburg, Germany. He is known for his 1991 single "Aloha Heja He", as well as for having fronted British Invasion-influenced band The Rattles, who, among other achievements, were selected to open for The Beatles on the Fabs' last-ever tour of Europe in 1966. Since 1975, Reichel has taken a keen interest in recording traditional German songs and classic poetry as modern-style music, which includes such albums as Dat Shanty Alb'm (1975), Klabautermann (1977), Regenballade (1978), Fledermaus (1988), Melancholie & Sturmflut (1991, including the hit Aloha Heja He), Wilder Wassermann (2002), and Volxlieder (2006)

German singer, songwriter, musician, and producer Achim Reichel enjoyed a long and varied career that began during the beat boom of the '60s, when he founded the Rattles, and carried on well into the next millennium. Reichel began his music career in 1960, when he, as a singer/guitarist, formed the Rattles with bassist Herbert Hildebrandt in Hamburg. The band, along with the Lords, proved one of Germany's leading beat bands of the day, for instance touring England with the Rolling Stones in 1963 and touring Germany with the Beatles in 1966. …

German band formed in early 1960's, previously known as the Skiffle Lords. Known for their fashionable attire and 'Prince Valiant' style haircuts. By 1964 they were awarded the title "The German Beatles" in Hamburg's Star Club of Germany. Currently still active, released a new CD album in 2015 titled "Now More Than Ever!"

When he was just five years old, his parents separated and J.R. left the United Kingdom together with his mother to live in her birthplace Hamburg.
