With 1987's BIG GENERATOR, Yes continued in the synthesizer-laden, production-heavy mode that had made the band's comeback album, 90125, such a success. While some diehard fans found this era of Yes to be in contrast to the band's previous classically influenced art rock, this incarnation of the band had plenty of the strong musicianship and fantastical imagination that had propelled the group to legendary status in the '70s. Indeed, producer Trevor Horn and the band succeeded in creating an intriguing sonic landscape that only Yes could conceive…
AC/DC are an Australian rock band, formed in Sydney in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. A hard rock/blues rock band, their music has also been called heavy metal, although they refer to themselves as "a rock and roll band, nothing more, nothing less"…
Alt three performances convey an unfailing sense of dramatic imperative; all three display a suppleness of phrasing that comes from working with voices … In the Fourth Symphony, I am entirely sure that Pappano and his orchestra have crossed that indefinable threshold to achieve something exceptional. The Hep Chaps were founded in 1996 after David Howarth and John Wallace met up in the West End of London performing in the stage musical Good Rockin Tonight. They found a musical empathy in the sound of the 30s and 40s and formed the duo specializing in self-penned works with zany lyrics and punchy swing rhythms. The duo can become a trio with bass and then a quartet with Roger Beaujolais coming in on vibes. The full band line up includes lead guitar and drums…
Son of a Czech prima ballerina and a famous American “secret agent,” Lemmy was raised on a farm, surrounded by horses, but was often on his father’s film sets, when he wasn’t playing violin or dancing in the Paris Opera Ballet School. But his natural tendencies led him down different paths. Lemmy traveled around the world and opened The Kabuki, one of the first Japanese restaurants in Paris, France.
During a prolonged stay in LA, he studied guitar and made friends with Harvard graduate Michael A. Lerner who became a screenwriter/director and Lemmy’s songwriting partner.
He writes screenplays and in commercials, documentaries and radio ads, his deep voice incarnates the archetypical charmer.
Lemmy has worked with Bruno Coulais writing & interpreting the title song for the film : Je préfère qu'on reste ami , as well as 2 songs in the film Brice de Nice.
Crazy about polo, he played in three consecutive French championships, and this passion inspired him to write a song and a screenplay.
AC/DC hits turned into Christmas rock by Santa Claws And The Naughty But Nice Orchestra – instrumentals (jazz/classical/elevator style) with sleigh bells added. Sleigh bells ring and hell's bells toll on this incredible holiday tribute to one of music's most iconic acts. Nothing can quench AC/DC's thirst for cheap thrills, dirty deeds and sweet, sweet candy. Santa may have crossed these naughty boys off his list a long time ago, but that doesn't mean you can't score the world's biggest Christmas ball with this little noel. You will definitely score with these hard rock candy holiday versions of AC/DC's greatest songs.
