Chesky Records would like to introduce its new Binaural+ Series. Binaural sound has been around for a long time, but until now it was just for headphones and could not be enjoyed on speakers. Our Binaural+ Series recordings sound great on headphones and speakers, and capture the sound of music as you would if you were sitting in front of the band. The Binaural+ Series sessions were recorded in high-resolution sound with a special Binaural head (a “dummy” human head with specially calibrated microphones where the ears would be).

Binaural Piano is a truly inspirational virtual instrument suitable for any task, from classic mock-ups to film scores, trailers and pop productions. As always, Neocymantics' goal was to get as close to the real thing as possible. This captured the resonances of all possible key combinations, resulting in a whopping 7,744 samples for the resonances alone. The same goes for the sustain pedal resonances and the release samples. Also, the hammer sounds were recorded in isolation to use either as an effect or as an additional percussive layer.

The David Hazeltine Trio successfully undertakes well-known classical works and reinvents them through jazz. Joined by George Mraz on bass and Jason Brown on drums, Hazeltine is able to reformat these classics into high energy, sweet swinging, syncopated adaptations of their originals. The group tackles works by composers: Bach, Chopin, Debussy, Tchaikovsky, and Beethoven; restructuring their works all the while keeping them audibly recognisable.

CC Coletti is back with "Bring It On Home". The album was recorded by Chesky Records using a new Binaural+ style. Her powerful, warm voice combined with the well respected guitarist/producer Anthony Krizan brings a new and modern play on songs like, Led Zeppelin’s “Rock And Roll”, Howlin' Wolf’s “Killing Floor” and many more.

"Safe Home" is the 2017 album from the venerated songwriter, Livingston Taylor, who is celebrating his 50th anniversary of making music. Featuring a world class band of Shelly Berg (piano), David Finck (bass), Bashiri Johnson (percussion), and Chelsea Berry (vocals), the album gives playful bend to musical classics like "Anything You Can Do", and also presents Livingston originals such as "I Must Be Doing Something Right". Livingston Taylor's career as a professional musician has spanned 50 years.

Singer-Songwriter Amber Rubarth, Cellist Dave Eggar, Violinist Tim Snider and Percussionist Chuck Palmer join forces, and combine their unique musical vocabulary to create Sessions from the 17th Ward. Together, this innovative team fuses classic songwriting and acoustic music to create a sexy, yet sophisticated album.
