Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and written by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines, and Sohrab Noshirvani, the film stars Dwayne Johnson as the titular character alongside Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui, and Pierce Brosnan.Black Adam had its world premiere in Mexico City on October 3, 2022, and is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 21, 2022 by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film is releasing in several countries on October 20, a day earlier than its domestic release.

Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam is an upcoming animated short film featuring Superman and Captain Marvel that will be collected in a compilation titled DC Showcase Original Shorts Collection to be released on November 9, 2010.[1] The compilation also includes expanded versions of the first three DC Showcase animated shorts: DC Showcase: The Spectre, DC Showcase: Jonah Hex, and DC Showcase: Green Arrow. The short will be twenty-two minutes, giving it the longest run-time of any short in the series.
