A musical artist by name James Blake has put out a new Album “Playing Robots Into Heaven (Endel Chillout Soundscape)“.

The guitar of Blind Blake is perhaps the pinnacle of acoustic blues guitar technique. This course explores his style.

James Blake is a master of contrasts and restraint—understanding that too much of a good thing can knock people over. The good thing in question, of course, is his marvel of a voice, which effortlessly sails from its rich natural baritone to a songbird-in-the-cloud falsetto. It can match the high drama of an opera star and sometimes you get the feeling that, if used for evil, it could wipe out a landscape. So on his fifth album's opener "Famous Last Words," an aural cocoon of gently pulsing R&B with gospel flourishes, the strings and piano drop out periodically so as not to suck up all the oxygen. (It's like the musical equivalent of Coco Chanel's adage: "Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.")

Jonathan E. Blake shows on his album "Rêverie" a dazzling wealth of facets. He was also inspired by the young genre lo-fi while working on his album: "Lo-fi chill captivates with a certain simplicity, acoustic imperfection, minimalism. Because unlike other genres, it's not about captivating the listener with driving beats, deep bass or complex vocals. Lo-fi chill is all about slowing down the listener, getting them to dream, to relax, to switch off," Jonathan E. Blake says. And that's exactly the mission he has accomplished with a total of 14 tracks.

Saxophonist Michael Blake makes raw and playful yet elegant music. He has no allegiance to "jazz" per se, although there are pronounced elements of Ellington and Mingus on some of these tracks. Blake's home is clearly the avant-garde, but he freely borrows from rock, Afro-beat, and sounds from the American heartland (the rural scenery on the cover is fitting). Tony Scherr's dry electric guitar is one of the central sonic elements, as is the interplay between Blake and his fellow saxophonists Briggan Krauss and Peck Allmond. Frank Kimbrough plays Rhodes – a rarity – on the opening title track, and Marcus Rojas' tuba seems to emulate a turntable on the rambunctious "Teo Walks," a track on which slide trumpeter Steven Bernstein also appears.
