Blood on The Tracks

Digitally remastered and expanded: The Iron City Houserockers entered the music scene with their 1979 album "Love's So Tough", but their third album, "Blood On The Bricks" from 1981, has grown especially dear to the fans. Houserocker boss Joe Grushecky and Co. (Eddie Britt, Art Nardini, Gil Snyder, Ned Rankin and Marc Reisman) teamed up with legendary guitarist and songwriter Steve Cropper to create an album that also has its place in the heartland rock genre.

Michael Jackson's 1995 double album "HIStory" didn't reach the level of market saturation that the self-proclaimed King of Pop expected from himself. The reasons were many, but the pairing of new material with an album of greatest hits had blunted the public's perception of the set as a new release. So Jackson went back into the studio and remixed eight of the songs and added five new tracks. However, this only served to confuse the non-fanatic portion of Jackson's audience further. It's a shame, since Jackson shows no letup in intensity here. "Morphine" is tough and edgy and even more frightening in light of the circumstances surrounding his death. "Blood on the Dance Floor" is a solid club track, and the classic club mix of R. Kelly's "You Are Not Alone" brings a new dimension to one of the original album's best-known songs.

The album will be released in two parts- The Thorns: Side One (tracks 1-8) will be released June 12th, and The Roses: Side Two (tracks 9-16) will be released around a month later on July 17th.
The tracklist and release date for the album, got announced June 3rd 2024; a day before the lead single, Straight To Your Heart, got released. Later the same day, on June 4th, Ashton announced that he will be doing a live show to celebrate the album release, on July 18th a day after the full album comes out, in Los Angeles at The Belasco Theater.

A "scene" act known for mixing electro-pop, emo, hardcore-influenced screaming, and outlandish hair and fashion, Blood on the Dance Floor is primarily the project of Orlando, Florida's Dahvie Vanity. Inspired by Jeffree Star's flamboyant look and sound, Vanity – who is also a Tigi-trained hairdresser and "Elite Hair God" – started Blood on the Dance Floor in 2007 and self-released his first album, Let's Start a Riot, on New Year's Day 2008. While touring in support of the album, Vanity met Garrett Ecstasy, who joined Blood on the Dance Floor as the group's screamer; the pair began recording soon after meeting and the second BOTDF album, It's Hard to Be a Diamond in a Rhinestone World, arrived in September 2008. Vanity and Ecstasy continued to perform and record, releasing a trio of EPs – I Scream I Scream, OMFG Sneak Peak!, and Extended Play – in 2009. That September, Vanity was arrested after a Denver, Colorado concert when a young woman told police that he had raped her; he was released from jail after she refused to be tested.

We caused a stir of supernatural proportions last year when we reissued Coven's debut album Witchcraft Destroys Minds and Reaps Souls, complete with naked victim centerfold and instructions for a black mass. And Blood on the Snow, which features a violin-playing devil on the cover and images of a strange occult ritual on the peat fold, promises more of the same. But in the safe hands of the Who producer Shel Talmy, this release on the Buddah label from 1974 presents a much milder, even, dare we say, benevolent version of the band that launched the entire genre of satanic rock.

Two Sasamis exist in harmony. First is Sasami Ashworth, the conservatory-trained classical French horn player, producer, and composer—an artist with a studious approach to craft. And then there is all-caps SASAMI, the fearless performer and protagonist of her three increasingly audacious albums. For Blood On the Silver Screen, these two sides fused for her most epic and realized music to date: the all-out Sasami pop record.
