Formed in Glasgow in 1985, Deacon Blue recorded this debut album in London in early 1987. The album features some of the band’s best-known songs in “Dignity”, “Chocolate Girl” and “When Will You (Make My Telephone Ring)”. Issued in June 1987, the album reached # 14 and achieved Platinum status in the UK alone (300,000 sales).
Here’s a musical excursion in the best Blue Knights tradition - eclectic, evocative and firmly anchored in the urban American groove. Come along with Curtis McLaw, Jay Heye and friends as they cruise down a California highway, greet a steamy night in the tropics, stroll a city street and comb a remote Far Eastern beach.
The excursion begins with an uptempo “Wake Up Call,” featuring Heye’s bluesy piano over McLaw’s keyboard rhythms and harmonies. They’re joined by Bill Joseph Flynn on guitar and Mr. P.T. on sax. That’s George Bishop doing the plaintive soprano work on “Nightfall” and Flynn in a similar vein on acoustic guitar in “Missing You.” And all hands show major-league chops in the driving, staccato counterpoint of “Tropical Night”…
Walking Back Home is an album by Scottish pop rock band Deacon Blue released in 1999. It was their first album since reforming that year after disbanding in 1994. A part studio/part compilation album, it contains nine of their earlier songs coupled with eight brand-new or previously unreleased songs.
Small Miracles is the eleventh studio album released by Canadian country rock band Blue Rodeo, released on September 25, 2007. Although Small Miracles did not produce any high charting singles, such as 1990's "Til I Am Myself Again" which reached number 19 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart, critical reception was generally positive. Allmusic marveled that the album "sounds this consistently fresh and inspired coming 20 years after Blue Rodeo's debut." The first single, C'mon, peaked at number 68 on the Canadian Hot 100. Although the second single, 3 Hours Away, did not chart, the following single, This Town, did.
We could say it's the 2nd album of Blue Sun, but recorded as a back up group to Jytte Pilloni. Good Danish roots psychedelic rock with at times hard guitars and superb female vocals from Jytte. + 1 Bonus track: "Jonnie The Junkie".
This German release of the rare Canadian Capitol LP Don't Make Me Over not only contains the original dozen tracks from this long lost album, but 19 extra bonus tracks culled from various European singles, and previously unreleased material…

Reissue on CD from the original master of live album by Danish Progressive hippy outfit similar to Burnin Red Ivanhoe, Rainbow Band and Midnight Sun. Recorded in 1970. Long tracks with extensive solo improvisation interplay between Guitar/Sax/Flute. Blue Sun is one of the most loved and missed bands in Danish Rock history. Their career was extreme short and intense. Blue Sun was at times very closed connected to the hippie-movement, and they marked the opening of the summercamp in Jutland with grace. Sadly this band has done very few recordings.
