Pitot was born in New Orleans in 1901. One of her ancestors was James Pitot, the mayor of New Orleans. Pitot went to Paris to train as a classical pianist and began working in musical theatre when she worked for Martha Graham. Pitot was best known for both arranging and composing the music for Hanya Holm, Jerome Robbins and Michael Kidd, and Broadway musical pieces including "Kiss Me, Kate", "Shangri La" and "Li'l Abner." She composed for Helen Tamiris, Agnes de Mille, Donald Saddler.

London, England’s Wolf Alice will release the deluxe version of their Mercury Prize-nominated third album, Blue Weekend, on October 29th on RCA/Dirty Hit. The deluxe version of the record – which received universal acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic when the original was released this past June – will feature a cover of the Alex G song “Bobby,” as well as live versions of other album favorites known as “The Pool Sessions.”

Seminole Strut started as a bunch of friends getting together and jamming in late 2012. These six Huntsville, AL natives had been in various bands growing up, but had never played together as a group prior to the formation of the band. Influenced by a variety of different music styles, they meshed together to forge a unique sound with a modern touch on raw rock and soul music. Backgrounds varying from classic sounds, such as the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, the Band, the Beatles, and the Allman Brothers Band, to the stylings of funk, jazz, blues, folk and heavy rhythms.
