Parlophone Records are proud to announce David Bowie - Who Can I Be Now?, the second in a series of box sets spanning his career from 1969. The box set features all of the material officially released by Bowie during the so-called American phase of his career from 1974 to 1976. The boxed set, which is named after a track recorded in 1974 but not officially released until the 1990s, includes a huge set of studio recordings of some of David Bowie's most memorable tracks.

A sequel to the 2015 box Five Years 1969-1973, 2016's Who Can I Be Now? (1974-1976) covers just three years but this stretch in the mid-'70s happens to be the peak of David Bowie's superstardom. That much can be gleaned from the number of albums within the set: three studio albums – Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, Station to Station, each released in a subsequent year – along with the double live album David Live from 1974…

Changesbowie is a CD greatest-hits collection that revamps the original Changesonebowie by adding selections from David Bowie's late-'70s and early-'80s albums. Consequently, it functions as a definitive single-disc introduction to Bowie, featuring all of his major hits from "Space Oddity," "Changes," "Ziggy Stardust," "Jean Genie," and "Rebel Rebel" to "Heroes," "Ashes to Ashes," "Let's Dance," "Modern Love," and "Blue Jean." One complaint: It wasn't necessary to substitute the "Fame '90" remix for the original to hook completists, since it is inferior and was already issued as a separate single.

Deluxe re-release of David Bowie's hugely influential 1976 album, Station to Station. This 3-CD set includes the complete original album together with the much bootlegged live favourite and previously unreleased Live Nassau Coliseum '76. STATION TO STATION was the soundtrack to Bowie's nightlife. This time around he fashioned himself as the king of slick, the "Thin White Duke/Throwing darts in lover's eyes." This new persona enabled Bowie to show his sensual side and his affection for American soul music–something that would have seemed out of context on previous efforts. The album's smooth vibe is evident in the funky guitar of "Golden Years," and mixed with a dangerous charm and the "side effects of the cocaine" on "Stay." Bowie had miraculously done it again–he picked up a new musical identity, and molded it to perfection.

A sequel to the 2015 box Five Years 1969-1973, 2016's Who Can I Be Now? (1974-1976) covers just three years but this stretch in the mid-'70s happens to be the peak of David Bowie's superstardom. That much can be gleaned from the number of albums within the set: three studio albums - Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, Station to Station, each released in a subsequent year - along with the double live album David Live from 1974. Four albums in three years is plenty but to that core canon Who Can I Be Now? adds five additional alternate albums, each with varying degrees of rarities. There are full latter-day remixes of David Live and Station to Station - the former from 2005, the latter from 2010 - the concert album Live Nassau Coliseum '76, which was added to the super deluxe 2010 reissue of Station to Station, a bonus disc of single edits and stray songs entitled Re:Call, plus an early version of Young Americans called The Gouster.

Taking the detached plastic soul of Young Americans to an elegant, robotic extreme, Station to Station is a transitional album that creates its own distinctive style. Abandoning any pretense of being a soulman, yet keeping rhythmic elements of soul, David Bowie positions himself as a cold, clinical crooner and explores a variety of styles. Everything from epic ballads and disco to synthesized avant pop is present on Station to Station, but what ties it together is Bowie's cocaine-induced paranoia and detached musical persona.
