Singer and songwriter Thea Gilmore has said that she considers her 16th studio album, The Counterweight, to be a companion piece to her 2003 breakthrough, Avalanche. While that album was written in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, 2017's The Counterweight addresses some of the political instability and acts of violence in a volatile 2016. "Johnny Gets a Gun," for instance, is a response to the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida. With little patience for "boys will be boys," it's a percussive, chant-like number packed with technology and pop culture references ("Live like the Waltons, dream Tarantino").

Hari Kondabolu is one of the hottest upcoming comedians of the 21st century says a press release, and "is best known for his politically and socially charged comedy involving jokes about race and class" says Wikipedia. Do not believe these words, believe in his complete discography so far, which is only two discs, both released by the Kill Rock Stars label.

Future Nostalgia is the upcoming second studio album by English singer Dua Lipa. It is scheduled to be released on 3 April 2020 by Warner Records. Lipa began working on the album in early 2018, enlisting writers and producers such as Jeff Bhasker, Ian Kirkpatrick, Stuart Price, The Monsters and the Strangerz and others in order to create a pop record with a "nostalgic" and electronic feel.
