Cafe Del Mar

Two CD collection, the 12th installment in this popular Chillout series. This series of compilations manages to keep the moods and memories of Café del Mar alive for the many who have visited and also serves as an aural invitation to those who have not. The music captures the essence of Ibiza, always keeping in mind it's spectacular sunset.

Originally, Café Del Mar was a bar located in Sant Antoni de Portmany, a town on the western coast of Ibiza. The collections of the music played at the bar were first sold on cassette at the end of the 1980s. In 1994, the first official "Café del Mar" CD was released on React.

Since the first releases of Café del Mar, where the Balearic spirit was reflected by music, millions of CDs have been sold worldwide. The different compilations keep alive the memories of Café del Mar, for whom have visited it, becoming a kind of identity mark. In 2008, CDM Music, celebrates 15 years of music, and for this occasion, this triple CD has been compiled (each CD encapsulates a five year period) containing a total of 42 songs. All the tracks are original and exclusive for this compilation, and you can find artists like Ludvig & Stelar, Dab, Rue Du Soleil, La Caina and many others.

Café del Mar Dreams continues its successful story with another great selection of 13 titles, carefully compiled by Toni Simonen Café del Mar Dreams 6 continues a series that was established in 2000, which explores the more ambient sound of Café del Mar. The album features fantastic new tracks from artists like Bliss, Amanaska, Afterlife and Chris Coco. Nearly all tracks on the album are exclusive.
