Originally formed at Cambridge University by the order of King Henry VI, King's College Choir have long established an enviable international reputation as one of the greatest of all choirs, responsible for numerous acclaimed recordings and concerts. King Henry VI wanted to form a choir that would be worthy of services at the magnificent chapel he had built at King's College and that still remains their primary purpose. They still sing for the daily services, but their fame is such that, out of term time, they are regularly seen on television or heard on the radio and have made many high-profile recordings along with prestigious concert tours all over the world. They sing in an annual live radio broadcast of the famous Christmas Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, which is heard by tens of millions of people around the world, while television broadcasts include annual carol services.

The Choir of Trinity College, Cambridge is a mixed choir whose primary function is to sing choral services in the Tudor chapel of Trinity College, Cambridge. The choir has taken various forms since its foundation, and has existed in its present form since 1982 when, shortly after the admission of girls to the University of Cambridge, female voices were used for the first time for the choir’s top lines. Trinity College's choral associations date back to the establishment of King's Hall by Edward II in 1317.

Anna Lapwood is a trailblazing musician. Alongside her work as a conductor, Director of Music and public speaker, she performs an extensive number of organ recitals on some of the greatest instruments across Europe each season. In 2022 she was announced as Associate Artist of the Royal Albert Hall and Artist in Association at BBC Singers. Directed by Anna Lapwood, The Chapel Choir of Pembroke College has one of the most exciting and varied ranges of choral endeavours among Oxbridge choirs.
