Hvorostvsky’s subtle coloring of his voice, his innate sense of drama and musicianship give him the edge over any other baritone available–be he younger or older. In Act II, when Germont confronts Violetta, Hvorostovsky is vocally stern without being offensive to his son’s mistress, and later in the scene when Germont lets his guard down, the singer is able to project a comforting fatherly image to the woman who is “the ruin” of Alfredo and his family… Daniel Pardo

"Le Paysagiste / Mindscape" by Jacques Drouin (1976)

Jacques Druen (Drouin) - Canadian director-animator, continuing the tradition of one of the rarest methods of animation - also known as "Pinscreen". It is a technique invented in 1931 by French cartoonist Russian origin, Alexander Alekseev (1901-1982), author of the legendary cartoon on the novel by Gogol's "Nose", together with his wife, Claire Parker (1906-1981). The screen consists of thousands of needles, speakers at 3-5 cm (when viewed from a distance, he gives the impression of a matte velvety surface). In his hand and presses down, and forcing some of them in depth, get print. With different lighting arises image, an engraving of a liquid.
