This is a tremendous soundtrack. What especially stands out is the inclusion of film dialogue in some of the instrumental tracks. Another neat thing is the "Natural Mystic" version on this album has a nice ambient intro, with bugs and birds chirping as the rhythm kicks in, it really adds to the etheral nature of the track. The track by Human Cargo is a wicked sound-system smasher. Don't pass over this because it has alot of BMW tracks that you already own, there are some bonafide gems on this one. "Mosman Skank" is the original rhythm made famous later by Dennis Brown's seminal 80's cut "Promised Land".
Fetisch Park's Alluvial is a wet glide into a pungent delta of broken electronic beats, dripping rhythms and ethereal voices carried across the watery flats from somewhere far off. The singing, fit to lure sailors onto hidden reefs, is actually the captured voices of Thai prostitutes captured by Carla Subito and placed into a fitting frame created in the studio. Knowing this, Alluvial becomes a fascinating document of transcending beauty and composer Subito's versatile and thoughtful skills. Former church organist Subito founded Fetisch Park nine years ago with Marlon Shy. Globetrotter and painter Shy is especially interested in the religion and sexuality of Thai and Nepalese women…

"A Conspiracy Of Stars" breathes that typically British easy-going confidence for which this band has been known for over 45 years. A strong release consisting of eleven songs which combine everything that the group surrounding frontman Phil Mogg stands for: meaty riffs, distinctive hooks, diverse songwriting, intelligent lyrics and that generally laid-back attitude which we have associated with UFO from the start.
