A collaboration between two of the best-known names in ambient music, the Japanese musician Ryuchi Sakamoto and the Austrian electronica artist Christian Fennesz, CENDRE is a hushed delight from start to finish, containing stately, minimalist pieces such as "Aware," "Kuni," and "Amorph." Fennesz provides the weightless electronic backdrop, into which Sakamoto drops precise chords that ripple the aural surface like smooth pebbles dropped into a pool.

This fascinating set provides a refreshing window onto a much studied, much idolized, and oft performed master of composition, allowing many of his familiar works to appear in a new light, recognizable and yet transformed. Bach's music is often described as indestructible, in the sense that no matter how it is performed, or in whichever arrangement, it's essential spirit survives. Many of the transcriptions included here represent the work of contemporary, world-class performers bringing Bach's masterpieces into the repertoire of their own instruments or ensembles, thereby giving new timbres to the genius of Bach's contrapuntal lines.

Em comemoração aos 200 anos da chegada da Família Real Portuguesa ao Brasil, a Prefeitura do Rio patrocinou a série de 5 CDs "A Música na Corte de D. João VI". Faz parte da série "Missa de Nossa Senhora da Conceição", do Padre José Maurício Nunes Garcia, gravado na Sala Cecília Meirelles, entre os dias 3 e 6 de março e na Igreja Nossa Senhora do Carmo da Antiga Sé, nos dias 07 e 08 de março de 2008. A gravação é da Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira e o Coro Calíope, sob regência do Maestro Roberto Minczuk, com os solistas Rosana Lamosa, Lina Dias, Adriana Clis, Fernando Portari, Homero Velho e Rafael Thomas.
