This Dunedin quartet might be headed by a singing, surfing Californian, yet forget any exercise in cruisy, background grooves, a la the territory of Jack Johnson and Donavan Frankenreiter. Ceiling In the Sky has light (Cayucos), darkness (Ceiling In The Sky), various shades of grey (Rain) and more than enough chaos (courtesy of wild violin and an inventive rhythmic unit) as the Julian Temple Band conjures a spirit somewhere between the Red Hot Chili Peppers and a gypsy caravan which, having started off jamming America songs, ended up lost in a desert, found some cactus juice and jumped on another horse entirely.

Michelangelo and the Pope's Ceiling recounts the four extraordinary years Michelangelo spent laboring over the vast ceiling while the power politics and personal rivalries that abounded in Rome swirled around him. Shiny Floor Shiny Ceiling is the 2012 album by British musician and composer Andrew Poppy. It states these are "nine songs in search of a territory. Seven voices in search of a song" on the front cover and it features contributions from Claudia Brücken, Margaret Cameron, and Lula Pena among a few. Released by the Field Radio label.
