Celebrating the release of Turning Pages. More than a long-awaited new album, Claudia Acuña´s Turning Pages is an exquisite reintroduction to a singer who has thrived at the cusp of jazz and Latin American music. Slated for release on February 1, 2019, the project captures an artist in the process of reinventing herself, with a program of strikingly melodic original songs expressing her singular vision. Featuring a stellar cast of collaborators, Acuña’s first new recording in a decade makes a compelling case that while keeping a lower profile shes been pluming new emotional depths.

The Grammy-winning American pianist and composer Billy Childs is a contemporary-classical composer as much as a jazz artist, but "Rebirth" means exactly what it says. Much of this scintillating set is a return to the snaking quickfire hard-bop Childs played in the 70s, albeit infused with all the musics he has visited so intelligently since, and his partners here include alto saxist Steve Wilson, Charles Lloyd drummer Eric Harland, and Chilean singer Claudia Acuña.

In 2014 Dry Riverbed Trio put its first musical steps on stage. After a series of successful performances in the Netherlands, the band decides to focus on their own sound within the roots scene. The trio is inspired by bands from the whole spectrum of old school rhythm and blues, rock and roll to country. In addition, support programs are played for the Paladins and Ian Siegal, among others.

Luis Muñoz is a composer, producer, arranger and percussionist from Costa Rica. He has released nine CDs of his compositions as a leader, all of them receiving multiple accolades and awards from the world media. His 2015 CD “VOZ”, a project with singers Claudia Acuña (Chile), Magos Herrera (México) and Téka (Brazil) was chosen by Downbeat Magazine among the “Best CDs of the Year” and by Jazziz Magazine among the “12 Best Albums of the Year”. Latin Jazz Network called it “A perfect Album” (5 Stars). It won two ACAM Awards (Association of Composers and Musical Authors) in Latin America, including “Jazz CD of the Year”. Mr. Muñoz’s has received 6 ACAM nominations and 4 awards so far. Mr. Muñoz was chosen among the “12 Best Artists of the Year” by NPR’s AltLatino. His latest recording, “The Dead Man” (2017) was named “Best Record of the Year” in Jazziz Magazine.

Verve Today 2002 is a compilation CD released by Verve Germany. It highlights various releases on Verve from the time period, some of which are exclusive to Germany and Europe.
