After Lars (Lee Evans) and Ernie’s (Nathan Lane) string manufacturer father Rudolf (William Hickey) dies, they go over his will in his now-outdated factory, where they find out that he left them a handful of personal items, one of them being a deed to a debt-ridden mansion. Representatives from a company called Zeppco International offer to buy the factory from Lars after being turned down several times by Rudolf, but he refuses their offer after remembering his father giving him and Ernie his lucky piece of string and made a promise to him to never sell the factory…

La comtesse Charlotte et le baron Edoardo se retrouvent par hasard au bout de vingt ans. Ils s'étaient beaucoup aimés autrefois. Les notes retracent, par épisode, l'histoire tumultueuse, excentrique et amoureuse d'un vieux "cuisinier-voyageur" français : Pascal Ichac, un cuisinier français tout en couleurs, amoureux des sensations fortes, éternel voyageur qui a servi l'Empereur de Chine en personne… La Princesse Cécilia Abachidze, qui deviendra plus tard la bien-aimée du chef français, déclarait : "Pascal est comme un chercheur qui tamise des tonnes et des tonnes de terre afin d'en extraire un seul grain d'or"….

Clouds Taste Metallic, the band's seventh album, is considered one of The Lips' best and earned them much critical fanfare. All-Music called it "a masterful collection that completesthe Flaming Lips' odyssey into the pop stratosphere" and compared it to the Beach Boys' definitive album Pet Sounds. Released on September 19th, 1995, Clouds Taste Metallic is also the last Lips album to feature guitarist Ronald Jones.
