Bio/CMOS Interfaces and Co-Design, Second Edition

Bio/CMOS Interfaces and Co-Design, Second Edition by Sandro Carrara
English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2023 (2024 Edition) | 530 Pages | ISBN : 3031318315 | 125.4 MB

This textbook demonstrates new paradigms for the interface between CMOS circuits and the biological world. A deep theoretical description of such an interface is defined and discussed, while various real applications are demonstrated by also discussing several analog CMOS circuits. Electrochemical techniques are proposed in detail to learn how to design integrated biosensors. Biological materials are described to provide devices selectivity. Nanoscale materials are discussed to provide device sensitivity. CMOS circuits are analyzed to provide real applications. Extensive examples with solutions are provided, as well as exercises at the end of each chapter.

LNA-ESD Co-Design for Fully Integrated CMOS Wireless Receivers by Paul Leroux
English | PDF | 2005 | 199 Pages | ISBN : 1402031904 | 12.46 MB

LNA-ESD Co-Design for Fully Integrated CMOS Wireless Receivers fits in the quest for complete CMOS integration of wireless receiver front-ends. With a combined discussion of both RF and ESD performance, it tackles one of the final obstacles on the road to CMOS integration. The book is conceived as a design guide for those actively involved in the design of CMOS wireless receivers.

ESD Protection Device and Circuit Design for Advanced CMOS Technologies

ESD Protection Device and Circuit Design for Advanced CMOS Technologies by Oleg Semenov, Hossein Sarbishaei, Manoj Sachdev
English | PDF | 2008 | 237 Pages | ISBN : 1402083009 | 9.4 MB

The challenges associated with the design and implementation of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection circuits are becoming increasingly complex as technology is scaled well into nano-metric regime. Traditional approaches of ESD design may not be adequate as the ESD damages occur at successively lower voltages in nano-metric dimensions. There are several challenges that must be met in order to design robust ESD circuits today. Due to technology scaling and proliferation of automated handling, ESD failures in ICs caused by Charged Device Model (CDM) are increasing. CDM discharges can cause latent damages which could degrade and eventually lead to definite failures in the ICs. The ESD protection design for current and future sub-65nm CMOS circuits is a challenge for high I/O count, multiple power domains and flip-chip products.

Low Power VCO Design in CMOS (Repost)

Low Power VCO Design in CMOS by Marc Tiebout
English | PDF | 2006 | 126 Pages | ISBN : 3540243240 | 1.9 MB

The performance of voltage controlled oscillators (VCO) is of extreme importance for any telecommunication or data communication system. This practical guide develops a systematic, fully-integrated LC-VCO design for low power and low phase noise, especially useful to meet the demands on mobile devices such as cell phones. The proposed VCO design approaches are experimentally verified with several fully integrated CMOS VCOs. The concise presentation is offered in three parts (VCO design; CMOS devices for VCO design; and fully-integrated CMOS DESIGNS) and supplemented by an appendix summarizing the state of the art.

High-Performance CMOS Continuous-Time Filters by José Silva-Martínez
English | PDF | 1993 | 238 Pages | ISBN : 1441951369 | 20 MB

High-Performance CMOS Continuous-Time Filters is devoted to the design of CMOS continuous-time filters. CMOS is employed because the most complex integrated circuits have been realized with this technology for two decades. The most important advantages and drawbacks of continuous-time filters are clearly shown.

CMOS Cellular Receiver Front-Ends

CMOS Cellular Receiver Front-Ends by Johan Janssens , Michiel Steyaert
English | PDF | 2002 | 267 Pages | ISBN : 0792376374 | 14.1 MB

CMOS Cellular Receiver Front-Ends: from Specification to Realization deals with the design of the receive path of a highly-integrated CMOS cellular transceiver for the GSM-1800 cellular system. The complete design trajectory is covered, starting from the documents describing the standard down to the systematic development of CMOS receiver ICs that comply to the standard. The design of CMOS receivers is tackled at all abstraction levels: from architecture level, via circuit level, down to the device level, and the other way around.
